TEACHING POSITIONS

Washington State Arts Commission Artist-in-Residence, 2001 - present. "Art of recycling" mixed recycled media; integrate language arts, social studies, and other subjects with art education and environmental education. Teach teachers as well as students visual arts vocabulary, elements, techniques and skills; encourage imagination, experimentation, and creative problem solving. Sites include Western State Hospital (Oakgrove and Firwood schools), Cherrydale Primary, Clarkmoor, Mill Pond Intermediate, Bonney Lake, McKenna, Mountain Meadow, Mountain View, and Northeast Tacoma Elementary Schools.

Arts Bridging Curriculum Artist Register, Olympia, WA 1999 - present. Art from recycled materials residencies at NOVA and Washington Middle Schools, Boston Harbor, Centennial, Garfield, Lincoln and Pioneer Elementary Schools.

State Capital Museum, Olympia, WA. 12/99 - 6/01. Developed and implemented education program combining art and history in conjunction with museum exhibits for K - 12 school groups, as well as teacher workshops.

Olympia Film Society, Olympia, WA. DUCK THE MALLS! Coordinator, 2005. Organize arts and crafts sale/fundraiser for OFS/support local artists.

Lincoln/Options Elementary School, Olympia, WA. Parent Volunteer, 9/95 - 6/05. Teach art concepts and techniques in collaboration with the classroom teacher. Lessons are multi-cultural and curriculum-related, accommodating a variety of learning styles and abilities.

Northend Jewish Community Center, Seattle, WA. Auction Committee, 4/93, 4/94. Designed invitations, chaired table decorations committee.
